How to Take Screenshots and Screen Recordings on a Chromebook ?

Taking screenshots and recording your screen on a Chromebook is a breeze. Whether you want to capture an important moment or create a tutorial, follow these simple steps to get the job done.

1. Access Quick Settings

First, locate the Quick Settings menu. You can find it in the bottom-right corner of your screen, next to the clock. Click on it to open the menu.

2. Choose “Screen Capture”

Once in Quick Settings, select the “Screen Capture” option. This will open the Screen Capture tool, which offers various options for capturing your screen.

3. Select Your Capture Area

Decide what you want to capture:

  • Full Screen: Capture everything visible on your display.
  • Window: Capture a specific window (such as a browser tab or an application).
  • Area: Select a specific part of your screen to capture.

4. Capture or Record

After making your selection, click the “Capture” button. If you’re recording your screen, choose the “Record” option instead. The tool will do the rest.

5. Find Your Captured Content

Once completed, your screenshot or recording will appear in Tote on your shelf. Additionally, it will be automatically copied to your Clipboard, ready for pasting.
