Eligibility and Criteria
Before you proceed, ensure that you meet the following criteria:
- You must be an Ncell prepaid customer.
- Your SIM card should be at least 90 days old.
Two Easy Ways to Transfer Balance
Method 1: Using USSD Code
- Dial *17122# and press the call button. This will open the Ncell balance transfer menu.
- Select the option to transfer balance.
- Enter the recipient’s phone number in the format 97798XXXXXXXX (where X represents the recipient’s phone number).
- Enter the amount you want to transfer.
- Confirm the transaction by entering your PIN code.
- Wait for a confirmation message to be sent to your phone.
Method 2: Using the Ncell App
- Install the Ncell app on your device.
- Open the app and click on ‘Register with SIM’ to set up your account.
- Once registered, you’ll land on the Ncell App Dashboard.
- From the app’s homepage, select the ‘Balance Transfer’ option.
- Enter the recipient’s phone number.
- Choose the amount of balance you want to transfer.
Transfer Limits
- You can transfer a minimum of Rs. 10 at a time, up to 3 times a day.
- The maximum amount you can transfer in one go is Rs. 200, also up to 3 times a day.
Service Fee
A nominal service fee of Re. 1 (excluding taxes) per transfer applies.
Utilizing the Transferred Amount
The transferred balance can be used for:
- Making calls
- Sending SMS
- Surfing the internet
Remember that government taxes (including 10% Telecommunication Service Charge, 2% Ownership tax, and 13% VAT) apply to the transferred amount.
